Biography

I am an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering – Engineering Mechanics at Michigan Technological University. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the design and dynamic systems area. My education and research interests lie in the field of acoustics, vibration, and noise control engineering. My specialties include:

  • measurements, data acquisition, and signal processing
  • structural acoustics

I am a Board Certified member of the Institute for Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA). This is similar, but not identical, to a professional engineering certification in the field of noise control engineering.  I am also a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) through National Instruments, signifying my competence in this powerful engineering software language.
